Sustain Charlotte continues to advocate for a community where everyone can access vibrant, sustainable neighborhoods that prioritize people and the planet. A community where development is thoughtful and intentional, climate change impacts are mitigated, and getting around is safe, easy, efficient, and enjoyable on foot, by bike, or via transit. This vision feels incredibly relevant to our growing Charlotte community right now.

This year, Sustain Charlotte has already:

1. Engaged residents to help secure record investments to expand and improve our parks, greenways, and nature preserves, including another $50M to acquire land (many of those parks and greenways are in our community). 
2. Engaged residents to secure $65M for sidewalks and other transportation improvements in the City's capital budget. 
3. Helped secure $8 million in bicycle network funding over the next two years.
